No Brochure Leaves Naked

The 3 Ways to Use Patient Education Brochures

Educated patients stay in care and refer. So educate them. How?

Here are 3 quick and easy techniques:

  1. The plop and pray technique. Plop brochures, booklets, articles, etc. in a holder and pray someone takes them. Good, but you can do better.

  2. The "Here, read this" technique. Putting something in their hand is powerful.

  3. Personalization technique. Take 1 or 2 seconds to highlight, underline or circle a sentence, paragraph or page saying, "You need to look at this; this is for your kids, your spouse...." They'll really read it ("My doctor wrote on it for me to read.") and pass it to others ("Hey, look at what my doctor showed me.").

Try it; this really, really works.

Make it a rule - no brochure leaves your office naked - everything must be personalized.

And, speaking of personalization - don't let your brochures leave your office without your contact information in the space provided on the back. It makes it easier and quicker for your patients to refer family and friends to you! Three ways to do that:

  1. Use an ink stamp. Make sure your staff members let the ink dry before stacking them.

  2. Create a label for your practice and have staff put them on. They look best when put on straight.

  3. Use our custom imprint service. Your brochures will be ready to distribute when your order arrives!
